Each year we provide several opportunities for our members to give back or participate in our giving efforts.

Lloyd F. Hutt Scholarship
For nearly 30 years, we’ve offered an annual scholarship essay contest for high school seniors, honoring the legacy of Lloyd F. Hutt – teacher and founder of LMCU.

Band Together
This year, we raised funds for our communities’ little heroes. Things may look different from what we’re used to, but the need to care for the kids in our communities is as great as ever. LMCU matched the first $15,000 in donations and all together, our staff, members, and community raised $75,000. Thank you to everyone who stepped up!

Reading Month
Every March, we encourage kids 12 and under to participate in LMCU's Reading Adventure, challenging them to read five books during National Reading Month for a chance to win $100.

Roots in Education Grant
LMCU was originally founded as the Grand Rapids Teachers Credit Union, so we have a soft spot for education. Every year, LMCU awards 25 teachers each a $1,000 grant who embody a specific trait.

Santa Squad
The LMCU Santa Squad delivers holiday cheer in a variety of different ways across the state! Each day brings a new surprise and a way to give back to our communities. Be sure to follow us on social media to keep up with the Santa Squad during December.
