Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is excited to announce the hiring of Joey Matthews as a mortgage loan officer serving Orlando, Tampa, and the surrounding area.
In this role, Matthews will use his 20 years of mortgage industry experience to work closely with hopeful homebuyers, connecting them with personalized mortgage solutions to save them time and money, all while researching market trends and new products to help buyers make informed house-hunting decisions.
LMCU Vice President of Regional Mortgage Production for Florida, Tammy Kiehl, praised the way that Matthews always goes the extra mile for homebuyers.
“Joey is an over-achiever in the best sense of the word,” Kiehl said. “He goes far beyond what’s expected from a lender, always looking for new mortgage products to meet a member’s needs, while also acting as a mentor for other loan officers.”
Matthews echoed this, expressing his excitement about the opportunities this role will provide to solve unique problems.
“I’ve worked with countless types of specialty mortgage programs over the years,” Matthews said. “I love to learn, and I enjoy a good challenge. So, no matter what big move our members are hoping to make, I want to make it happen.”
