Grand Haven, MI. (October 16, 2025) – Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is excited to announce the hiring of David Wingate Jr. as a mortgage loan officer serving the credit union’s Michigan Lakeshore region, which includes Grand Haven, Holland, and Muskegon.
Wingate has worked in the mortgage industry for over 25 years, and he’ll use that experience and expertise in this new role to help hopeful buyers achieve their unique dreams of homeownership, from first-time purchases to vacation homes and new construction.
LMCU Vice President of Regional Mortgage Production, Marlo Morgan, believes Wingate’s extensive industry tenure has given him unique insight into how to best help homebuyers.
“When you work with mortgages long enough, you start to understand the process intuitively — and that means you can explain it better,” Morgan said. “David understands that new homebuyers can easily feel overwhelmed, or like homeownership isn’t actually possible for them. By breaking the process down into easily actionable steps, he can put members at ease and get them excited about making this big move.”
