Lake Michigan Credit Union Promotes Bryan Chong to SBA Junior Lender

Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is proud to announce Bryan Chong’s promotion to SBA Junior Lender.

In his new role, Bryan will manage the SBA Lightning Loan Program, reaching out to prospects, pre-screening applications, and assisting members with the application process.

Bryan brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping business owners grow, having recently earned dual bachelor’s degrees in business administration and management, as well as marketing, from Florida College. He’s also gained valuable experience with LMCU’s SBA team as an SBA Operations Intern and then as an SBA Loan Processor.

"I chose LMCU because they helped my dad grow his business using SBA and commercial loans, and I wanted the opportunity to help other business owners do the same," said Bryan. "The SBA team here has been amazing mentors, and I love working with people who are passionate about supporting small businesses."

Bryan’s role includes assisting members and non-members with online loan applications, ensuring they meet eligibility requirements, and facilitating the closing of SBA loans. He takes pride in helping business owners secure the financing they need to grow and strengthen their businesses, particularly through the SBA program, which often offers longer terms and favorable rates with less collateral required.

Ruben Alfaras, SVP SBA Director, said, “Bryan is driven by a strong work ethic and a passion for helping our members and business owners thrive. He will be a valuable contributor to the lending team.”
