How to set up direct deposit and more
We're here to answer all your questions about setting up direct deposit, finding the right account details, and knowing what to expect.
There are a few ways to set up direct deposit. You can obtain a form from your employer and fill in your account information, including your 12-digit MICR number and LMCU's routing number, which is 272480678. You may also download a form from Online Banking that includes your personal account information by clicking on Services and then selecting the Electronic Payments and Direct Deposits link under Forms.
In addition to providing your routing number and account type, you will need to provide your account number.
In your LMCU account, you will find two versions of your account number: a base account number and a 12-digit MICR number. The 12-digit MICR number is the one you will need for direct deposit, while your base account number is used to sign up for LMCU digital banking.
In Online Banking:
- Select the account you want your payment directly deposited into.
- You’ll find your routing and account numbers in the Account Details table on the right side of the screen.

Direct deposit can be used for payroll, government benefits, retirement income, and other recurring payments sent electronically by an employer or paying agency.
If you already have direct deposit set up somewhere else, update your employer or payment provider with your LMCU account details. Keep your previous account open until your first deposit arrives in your LMCU account, so you don’t risk a delay.
Direct deposit timing depends on when your employer or payment provider sends the funds.
Once a direct deposit is received and posted to your account, those funds are immediately available for use.
